After months of teasing, sacai‘s next Nike VaporWaffle collaboration in “White/Sail” and “Black/Gum” has finally been given an official release date.

Designed by Chitose Abe, the sacai x Nike VaporWaffle has become a mainstay in any self-confessed sneakerhead’s rotation. Bringing classic Nike running looks with sacai’s ability to adapt proportions, it’s become a fan-favorite sneaker thanks to its wearability and distinctive style, which now is only elevated as it appears in its simplest colorways to date.

sacai opts for a nylon, suede, and leather construction as opposed to the knitted iterations that appeared back in 2020. These take from the more recent pairs in “Dark Iris” and “Seasame” which also feature the more relaxed use of materials, and like those pairs, the “White/Sail” and “Black/Gum” colorways also sport the wavy detailing underneath the suede eyestay placket.

As expected, the tongues are doubled up with both wearing a branded tag, the laces are thick and so is the stacked sole unit (complete with the heel kick at the rear), while dual-stacked branding on the heel rounds out the pairs. A waffle sole unit completes the signature look.

sacai’s Nike VaporWaffle in “White/Sail” and “Black/Gum” will drop on March 10 at various retailers worldwide and at Nike costing $180 USD a pair.

In other news, Nike has given the GO FlyEase a multicolored makeover.
