Louis Vuitton is bringing back the Handle Soft Trunk bag to its permanent collections. The accessory was first imagined by late designer Virgil Abloh for the brand’s NBA capsule collection in 2021.

The bag has now found its way back as a permanent staple to the Spring/Summer 2022 collection as one of the house’s most sought after heritage trunk model. As a testament to its nomadic influences, the trunk echoes the traditional rectangular silhouette with a modern detailing made popular by Abloh. Metallic corners and rivets help to provide the bag with additional structure, while a removable shoulder strap and leather handle give the piece more versatility in use.

The Handle Soft Trunk is now available in two luxe variations including a classic, sleek black Taurillon calf leather and a leather-trimmed Monogram Macassar canvas. The pieces are a part of Abloh’s contemporary Soft Trunk line, which are offered alongside the Mini Soft Trunk, Soft Trunk and Soft Trunk Wearable Wallet. Adopting an on-the-go style, the bag is perfect for the everyday go-getter, a motif that Abloh continuously emphasized for the Louis Vuitton brand.
