Nike Sportswear is home to some of the most coveted sneaker silhouettes in history, and one category that tends to garner much love is the Air Max catalog. 2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the Air Max 1 — the model that kick-started this iconic lineage — and it will be celebrated through a variety of new colorways. One that has intentions of rolling out is this newly surfaced Nike Air Max 1 “Treeline” colorway which bears a palette much like the famed Nike SB Dunk High “Skunk” iteration.

It’s unclear as to whether or not this pair is directly inspired by the classic SB offering, but the accents certainly remind us of it. Mudguards and heel overlays are fitted with hairy suedes that are dyed in a “Treeline” hue, while the Swooshes and branding on the tongues come styled with purple exteriors. Laces usher in more doses of green and come decorated with all-over white polka dot patterns. Mid-foot and lower throat overlays are styled in a lighter beige hue while the mesh toe boxes and interior liners are offset with a muted tan.

You can sift through the images in the gallery above to peep an early look.

In case you missed it, on-foot photos of the Nike Dunk High “Fossil Rose” have showed up.
