Hennessy Presents First-Ever Fashion Collection, In Collaboration With Les Twins

As part of Hennessy Very Special limited edition 2021, the Maison takes on luxury fashion in an exciting new venture. Hennessy Very Special in Motion by Les Twins sees the dancers and ‘urban movement creators’ collaborate with french fashion designer Stéphane Ashpool as they design and develop a special capsule collection.

Hennessy Very Special holds a deeply-rooted connection within the arts and culture – from appearing in countless music videos to 2Pac’s Hennessy-dedicated track – resonating with globally acclaimed rappers, artists and designers alike. In its dynamic collaborative campaign, the brand celebrates its cultural impact by showcasing the collection on dance duo, Laurent and Larry Bourgeois of Les Twins as they smoothly move around Paris’ urban and classical settings.

But the collaboration with Les Twins also extends to a 15-piece capsule, incorporating characteristics and style preferences of both dancers. As the pair explain, “[the collection has] great cuts, discreet twists and some pieces that are more ‘Laurent’ or more ‘Larry’ but that will always fit perfectly with every wearer’s style.”

The unisex capsule adapts streetwear staples in a luxury discipline with pieces created across ateliers in France, Portugal and America, giving quality of materials and construction the greatest importance as per Hennessy’s standards. A leather bomber jacket with an updated version of the double bras armé logo – which acts as the code for this collection – comes embroidered on the back marks one of the collection’s statement pieces but, has the ability to be dressed down when paired with a hoodie from the line. Similarly, a leather cargo pant boasts boundless versatility and, when worn with its accompanying lambskin vest, epitomizes streetwear luxury.

More everyday appropriate garments in the collection include a distressed grey denim jacket, an array of T-shirts and heavyweight hoodies, while an accessories line up of a bucket hat, cap, bandana and belt bag complete the capsule’s essentials. Subtle details can be found within each item, such as a readaptation of the motion capture film into a unique pattern within the linings, which all bring a special touch to the capsule collection.
