The Nike Air Force 1 "NY vs NY" Celebrates New York's Summer Streetball Tournaments
Showcasing the best hoopers in the city.
Following last year’s Nike Dunk Low “NY vs NY,” the footwear series is returning as a special-edition Air Force 1. “NY vs NY” is an annual blacktop tournament organized by Nike Basketball that allows the best young hoopers in New York to represent their area and showcase their talent. The tournament rotates around courts in the city and includes teams from Watson, Dyckman, Tri-State, Lincoln Park, Uptown Challenge, West 4th, and Gersh Park.
The upcoming “NY vs NY” Air Force 1’s are found in black and mesh uppers featuring circular line embroidery and team name sticker motifs across the laterals. Lateral and medial side Swooshes are dressed in canvas, and “NY vs NY” tags decorate the tongue. The teams are also found printed on black insoles, and crisp white midsoles and gum rubber outsoles complete the design.
