After celebrating its five year anniversary and recent new logo launch, HYPEBAE has now delivered its first-ever digital cover. Teased earlier this week, fans were quick to share excitement over CL serving as the platform’s inaugural cover star.

Lee Chae-rin, better known by her stage name CL, is a certified K-pop veteran with many knowing her as a trailblazer during her time as leader of 2NE1. Breaking out onto the Korean and global music scene with her solo debut with “The Baddest Female” back in 2013, CL is now setting sights on ushering in her next chapter. Returning to the spotlight with tracks like “HWA,” “5 STAR” and “SPICY,” the South Korean artist dropped her first physical solo album ALPHA last year.

Serving as HYPEBAE’s Spring 2022 digital cover star, CL reminded us why she is still the baddest “unnie” around. Shot by lauded South Korean photographer Mok Jungwook and stylist extraordinaire Anna Park, the shoot sees the artist show her fierce nature dressed in FENDI‘s Spring/Summer 2022 Women’s collection accompanied by the Fendi First bag and Fendigraphy bag. CL also spoke candidly in an accompanying interview touching on her artistry, relationship with fashion and what’s in store for her in the future.

Head over to HYPEBAE to check out the Spring 2022 cover shoot and read the full interview with CL.

In case you missed it, STRONGTHE’s FW22 collection notes not all ghosts are bad.
