HIDDEN.NY Serves up a Trio of Hairy Suede-Covered Clarks Originals Wallabee Boots
Coming in “Green,” “Cobalt,” and “Maple.”
The anonymously-ran digital archive HIDDEN.NY is much more than just another Instagram account, as it has worked with the likes of BBC ICE CREAM and has sell-out merch drops under its belt, and now the cult name has teamed up with Clarks Originals for their second round of collaborative shoes.
Taking on the Clarks Originals Wallabee Boot, HIDDEN.NY serves up three colorways ranging from “Maple” to “Cobalt” and “Green.” Each pair sports a beautiful application of hairy suede and takes a relaxed approach as far as footwear collaborations go, with only HIDDEN.NY’s signature “h” logo adorning the lateral rear-quarter in either green or white depending on the colorway of the shoe.
Clarks Originals’ classic embossed branding that hits up the trio of hang tags does appear — you just have to look very closely. Typically, the materials used are softer and smoother than the suede used on this collaboration and, as a result, the branding is there, however hairy suede also graces the tags so the branding is now… hidden. On the flipside of the tag, HIDDEN.NY branding appears in white or green and is lightly embossed into the material.
At the rear of the shoe, HIDDEN.NY adds a tonal webbing structure that runs down the heel, leading the eye to the gum sole unit that can be found across all three colorways.
HIDDEN.NY’s Clarks Originals Wallabee Boot can be seen above and is due to drop on March 8 at retailers such as Goodhood. The pairs cost £130 GBP each (approximately $174 USD).
