Akre Launches Earth-Grown Supplements for "Brighter Days and Better Nights"

Vancouver-based wellness label akre has launched its first collection of earth-grown supplements, with two products designed to optimize sleep and brain function. The collection — dubbed Plant Intelligence — introduces both “Mind Flora” and “Night Botanic”, which aim to preset a clear state of mind and act as a natural sleep aid respectively.

The two supplements incorporate ingredients including Organic Lion’s Mane, Bacona Monnieri and Organic Montmorency Tart Cherry Extract. Both the “Mind Flora” and “Night Botanic” supplements come as a month’s supply, containing 60 vegetarian capsules packaged in containers made from recycled plastic and compostable vacuum-packed bags.

Launching the collection, founders James Soulodre and Adam Maruniak said:

“We create tools for active souls and for those who believe taking care of oneself is a daily practice. Our products are intended to help build a foundation for a more sustainable future by improving the quality of your mind and body. The more we learned about the sleep-wake cycle, the more we experimented with both natural supplements and traditional practices like meditation and breathwork to improve the way we felt during the day and slept at night.”
