Wasted Paris and Clarks Originals have teamed up on a Wallabee Lite in Black/Black that treats the shoe as a vessel for Britpop memorabilia. Built around a set of interchangeable pins, a guitar pick and a custom fob, the collaboration lets wearers decorate the silhouette themselves, mirroring the way fans of the era accumulated badges and souvenirs over time.
The story begins in the mid-to-late ’90s, when the Wallabee became part of the Britpop landscape. The shoe turned up everywhere the scene gathered, from pubs and indie gigs to football terraces and backstage areas, along with every street that connected them. Britpop itself was never solely a sound. It was a mash-up of tastes, rituals, references and possessions that together formed the visual shorthand of a generation.
Wasted Paris approaches that moment through memorabilia. Badges, charms, keepsakes and small personal touches pick up meaning the longer they’re kept, each one tied to a specific place, night or memory. The collaboration pulls from that same pool of era-defining imagery and everyday ephemera, and keeps it intentionally rough around the edges, favoring found fragments over anything too refined.
That thinking is built directly into the shoe. The Wallabee Lite arrives fully blacked out, with a custom vamp carrying a tonal lion graphic and a co-branded fob that hangs from the laces. Interchangeable pins can be clipped onto the upper in any arrangement, alongside a guitar pick, so no two pairs need to look the same. A set of extra laces in contrasting blue rounds out the kit for further personalization.
The packaging doubles as part of the collectible. Everything comes in a custom square box featuring a photograph by Kevin Cummins, the photographer whose images helped define the look of Manchester’s music scene. It’s a fitting partner for Wasted, which has worked across indie music, skateboarding, vintage culture and underground cinema since 2012 and regularly collaborates with photographers and musicians from those scenes. Clarks, for its part, brings two centuries of shoemaking heritage that dates back to a workshop in Street,
