Hender Scheme is known to participate in various collaborative initiatives every year, and for Spring/Summer 2022, the premium Japanese imprint is reconnecting with The North Face for a brand new footwear and accessories capsule. Like its previous projects that released back in 2020 and 2021, this newest assemblage is designed with outdoor exploration as the focal point.
On the footwear front, the two parties have generated a stealthy pair of Schlaf Boots and all-black VECTIV Escape sneakers. The former is a marriage between a tech-y snow shoe and fashion-forward boot as it features waterproof and high-cut nylon uppers that are styled with cow leather mudguards. A drawcord is found on the rear end for adjustability and the shoes are accessorized with The North Face branding in the forefoot and a beige Hender Scheme tab on the rear. Vibram outsoles are designed with a sleek and curvy shape to round off its look. The VECTIV Escape offering is fashioned with a knitted upper and features TPU overlays and a quick pull lacing system. Semi-chunky outsoles are crafted with EVA cushioning and CTRL™ rubber for durability.
In the accessories department, the duo has produced a Wasatch backpack and an MB Lumbar duffle bag, both of which are made with 1680D Cordura Ballistic® nylon and cow leather, and come with removable pouches.
Check out the full range here above and note that it will be released on April 2 exclusively in Japan via Hender Scheme. Prices range from ¥11,000-￥39,600 (approx. $89-321 USD).
