Aigle Unveils Heritage-Inspired SS22 Collection by Études
The artistic director’s debut.
Heritage brand Aigle has enlisted fellow French label Études as its new artistic director by unveiling the first lifestyle collection for Spring/Summer 2022.
Having delved into its extensive archives, Études aims to reimagine the brand’s iconic pieces through a contemporary lens. Despite the brand often being associated with the outdoors, the Parisian label seeks to find a complementary balance between nature and the city. Speaking on the collaboration, Études’ artistic directors stated, “Looking back, we realized that Aigle has had a long connection with the city, which was unexpected for us.”
As Études’ debut collection for the brand, the range is comprised of a selection of gender-inclusive outerwear, sweatshirts, trousers as well as its new Atelier boot. Highlighting functional fabrics like the trench coat’s waterproofing membrane or the GORE-TEX clad recycled polyester fishtail parka, the all-black boot is also crafted in France from natural rubber.
From 2022, half of all of Aigle’s product offering is made using sustainable methods, manufacturing and fabrics as part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to environmentally-conscious practices.
