Nike ACG Air Moc 3.5 "Team USA" First Look

With the ongoing 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics in full force, Nike made sure Team USA was outfitted down to the feet in a new weather-appropriate ACG Air Moc 3.5. While the sportswear powerhouse had already unveiled its apparel collection including the athlete exclusive Gaiadome Boot, this latest installment comes from the brand’s All Condition Gear subsidiary line known for its innovative takes on standard athletic apparel and sports gear.

To combat the chilly winter weather in Beijing, the uppers are stitched up in an icy blue quilt-like padding seamlessly following the natural curves of the shoe — opting for a neater design in comparison to the Air Moc 3.0. The forefront is reinforced with a light gray suede mudguard embellished with a mini Swoosh embroidery by the tip. Further emphasizing the concept of comfort, the ankle is swooped up to offer a narrow opening to provide a snug fit. USA branding elements are found on the tongue pull tab and navy blue insole while the heel tab showcases a globe and words reading “MADE ON EARTH.”

Building on Nike’s Move to Zero movement to reduce footwear-related components usually headed for landfills, recycled Crater Foam shapes the midsole in white over a black outsole.

More details on the release of the Air Moc 3.5 “Team USA” are yet to come.
