Back with its Fall/Winter 2022, Pièces Uniques has put together a collection centered around the theme of one “NATION.” The seasonal range is inspired by a universe created by Artistic Director Edmond Luu which features character archetypes. Split into three “families” the groups are represented by a primary digital color (RGB).

The “Royal Family” is dressed in green and led by a king and bodyguards, a swordsman, archer and wizard, drawn from the classes of role-playing games. The “Rebels” are defined by blue expressing a first group of the urban universe following American and post-Soviet codes with a precise hierarchy. The “Yakuza” is fittingly dressed in red led by a stern father figure, Bōsōzoku biker and a rebellious student. Throughout the collection, contemporary representations of menswear silhouettes are found injected with details taken from pop culture, sci-fi, comics and Japanese animation. The narrative approach to design is tied together through a contrasting two-tone design structure that furthers the maturity of Pièces Uniques.
