KENZO Unveils the "Tiger Tail" Collection by NIGO
The Artistic Director’s second drop continues to share his vision of the house.
After delivering the inaugural release following its Fall/Winter 2022 show, NIGO‘s KENZO has returned with Drop 2 for the Spring/Summer 2022 season, titled “Tiger Tail.” The upcoming drop continues to share the newly appointed Artistic Director’s vision of the house, with two additional capsules to come.
The latest limited-edition range highlights NIGO’s cartoonish reimagination of KENZO’s signature tiger emblem along with an appreciation for flora and fauna. Comprised of two five-piece looks, the selection features options for men and women, though a genderless spirit prevails.
The timeless and essential pieces are led by a relaxed black oversized molleton hoodie, dark green drawstring cotton cargo trouser with the new signature flower button. Other standouts include a black sweatshirt and black and white T-shirts emblazoned with illustrated tiger tail motifs at the rear.
The “Tiger Tail” collection encapsulates the root of NIGO’s outlook for KENZO – “a real wardrobe for the future, tied to the wisdom of the past.” Through expanding motifs and drawing on a uniquely Japanese sensibility, the capsule serves as an homage to founder Kenzo Takada and the natural elements key to his legacy.
