Billionaire Boys Club Unveils First Drop From SS22 Collection
Inspired by the abstract expressionist movement and the Japanese Bonsai tradition.
Pharrell’s Billionaire Boys Club has unveiled the first drop from its Spring/Summer 2022 collection. Centering the “Freedom in Expression” of music, art and culture, the new collection is inspired by the abstract expressionist movement and the Japanese Bonsai tradition.
Specifically, designs from the collection take a closer look at artwork from renowned American painters Sam Gilliam and Jackson Pollock. From Gilliam’s suspended paintings to Pollock’s drip paintings, both artists were known for their unique approaches to visual art. Expressive paint-splattered designs are seen across workwear-style jackets and shorts. Gilliam’s brush strokes are also visualized on a vacation shirt and fleece set.
Another focal collection pattern is the “Bonsai-inspired camouflage” that is seen on cargo pants and hoodies. Elsewhere in the collection are patchwork denim, fleece hoodies and sweatsuits, flannel shirts, denim jackets and classic BBC sweatshirts.
Check out the gallery above for a look at the collection that drops Thursday, March 10 on the Billionaire Boys Club website. More pieces are also in stock via the GOAT web store.
