Marni Unveils Its "Year of the Rabbit" Collection
The Chinese New Year capsule consists of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear clothes and accessories featuring work by Italian artist Flaminia Veronesi.
After reuniting with Uniqlo for a collaborative collection and releasing Vol.1 of its SS23 collection, Marni is cat-walking its way back into the spotlight to unveil its new “Year of the Rabbit” capsule to celebrate Chinese New Year. Much like its last CNY range, this newest line is also made alongside a creative as it has tapped Italian artist Flaminia Veronesi.
Francesco Risso — the Italian luxury fashion house’s creative director — aligned with Veronesi to produce ready-to-wear clothes and accessories for both men and the ladies. On deck for the ladies are white organic cotton tees and hoodies, denim pants that are cut with a baggier fit, crewnecks and vests that are presented in colorful mohair. Lunar New Year-inspired icons, bunny graphics, hearts and multi-colored arrangements are styled on the various pieces. On the men’s side, Marni has taken Veronesi’s fluffy rabbit artwork are utilized it on cozy mohair knitted cardigans and sweaters, hoodies and tees. Pablo Touch-Strap kicks with furry uppers and white and yellow Dada Bumper sneakers are also tossed into the assemblage along with necklaces with rabbit pendants and smooth calf leather bags in the accessories department.
