Dior Adds Protective Shrouds to Its B31 Footwear Model
Elevating the kicks with functional protection and surgical sensibility.
You can tell that footwear has been one of Dior‘s primary focuses in recent memory just be the sheer volume of various installments that it has revealed in this latter half of the year. The French fashion house debuted collaborative kicks alongside Tremaine Emory‘s Denim Tears imprint, and now it’s showing off forthcoming B31 makeups that are modified with protective shrouds.
If this model looks familiar to you, that’s because Dior Men’s Head Footwear Designer Thibo Denis teased it during the summer 2022, only without the shrouds that you see here. It bears a hiker-inspired build and comes with mesh uppers, wayward webbing that sprawls across the side panels and a Quicklace system for easy adjusting. The added protective covers wrap over the toe boxes, the forefoot, the outsoles and portions of the heels. Aesthetically, they channel a similar look to Maison Margiela’s Surgical Slip-On Mules as well as the as reusable shoe covers that museums with James Turrell exhibits will make you rock upon entry. Additionally, a Dior spell-out is printed across the forefoot for extra flair.
