South Korean imprint ADER Error and Converse have officially unveiled the centerpiece of their upcoming collaboration, featuring a distressed pair of classic Chuck 70s dressed in ADER’s signature blues. The joint project is titled “Create Next: The new is not new,” alluding to the cyclical nature of fashion.

The collaborative pairs are found predistressed with a number of unconventional and deconstructed elements including double-laces intertwining both conventional and rope laces, contrast-stitched tongue tabs, and cutout blue canvas panels stretching around the metal eyelets. The title slogan is printed across the sides and “The New” and “Not New” text is found in cursive on the tip of the toe. Rounding out the look are classic outsoles featuring blue piping accents, black heel banners, and semi-translucent checkerboard bottoms.

The ADER error x Converse Chuck 70 will be available exclusively online on January 9 through ADER error before releasing via other channels. A complimentary apparel collection is expected to drop alongside the footwear as teased by Le Syndrome below.
