Chris Rock Shares First Teaser for Upcoming Historic Netflix Special 'Selective Outrage'
Netflix’s first-ever special to be live-streamed.
Chris Rock is prepping for his next standup venture in 2023, with the release of the first teaser trailer for his upcoming historic Netflix special, Selective Outrage. The special will mark the first time Netflix will be live streaming on its platform. Its competitors like Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Apple TV+ all offering live broadcast experiences already.
The teaser also confirms that the stand-up special will air in jut over two months. In the 30-second preview, Rock appears to take the stage, staring right at the camera, breaking the fourth wall. Set in a green room, an off-screen figure knocks on his door and tells Rock that the audience is “ready for ya.” “The Best is Back” by Bun B plays in the background as Rock walks through the venue to take center stage. The clip ends with the Netflix title for the special, as well as its premiere date, all while reiterating that the special is Netflix’s “first global live event.”
Chris Rock: Selective Outrage is slated to be streamed live on March 4, 2023 at 10 p.m. ET. The special will mark Rock’s seventh’ broadcast comedy special and second to premiere on Netflix.
