Mila V Is the New Vanguard of Acid House, and Patta Soundsystem Wants You to Know
Coming together to launch Mila V’s new EP ‘CRACKS’ alongside a merch T-shirt and a listening party in Amsterdam.
Patta Soundsytem wants you to know all about Mila V, as the streetwear and music-centric stalwart is spotlighting the multifaceted rave-centric musician for its final Soundsystem installment of the year. Joining Mila V to launch their new EP, CRACKS, the two have come together for a merch collection that further celebrates the release and they will also be hosting an exclusive listening party.
Mila V is relatively new on the scene. Working and living between London and her motherland of the Netherlands (specifically Amsterdam), the Dutch musician has developed a sound of acid house, warped vocals and energy fit for the 4 a.m. post-party scene. Now, with CRACKS, Mila V looks inwards at repression and how they have felt the need to suppress themselves in the music industry. As a result, the EP was developed as a form of therapy, coming together across five songs that tell a story of their underlying emotions and build in impact as the EP develops.
In conjunction with the EP is a Patta-exclusive merch T-shirt, which is served in black and features dual branding on the front and a CRACKS graphic on the rear. Those who purchase the tee will be offered the chance to buy the exclusive, limited-edition Patta pressing of the EP, while De Schietclub (the Noordside venue in Amsterdam) will host a party on November 19.
Take a look at the EP and merch above, and purchase them from Patta Chapter stores, the app, and online from 1 p.m. CET/12 p.m. GMT on November 18.
