Reflecting the lights of Tokyo and scenery of Japan.

Following collaborations with painter Karwai Chan in Malaysia and abstract painter Nat Bowen in Dubai earlier this February, McLaren now taps Japanese graphic artist Yoshirotten for a special take on its McLaren GT. Given the 612-horsepower coupe as a canvas, Yoshirotten imagines the supercar running through the streets of Tokyo through various scenes with linear lines running across the aerodynamic body in subtle gradients.

The horizontal line is painted to resemble the lights of Tokyo and the scenery of Japan. The paintwork can be interpreted as either city lights or the skies at dusk reflecting upon the gloss-black body. The specific colors chosen can only be naturally reflected by the GT while running through the country. To present his creation, Yoshirotten imagines a futuristic garage in Tokyo in which electrical sound signals are emitted from modular synthesizers complimented by spinning pillars of light.

Yoshirotten x McLaren GT will make its way across showrooms in Japan from November 24 to December 27. Take a closer look at the design below.
