FACE and atmos Dress adidas Samba in Daisy Embroidery
Arriving with collaborative tracksuits and sweats.
First introduced in the ’50s by adidas founder Adi Dassler, the iconic Samba silhouette continues to be one of the brand’s most popular silhouettes. Following several recent collaborations with the likes of Pharrell, IRAK, and Wales Bonner, adidas Originals now partners with atmos and illustrator Face Oka for a special-edition take on the football sneaker.
FACE reveals that he has long loved the Samba silhouette and used to steal his brother’s pair to wear when he was a child. For his take on the classic sneaker, FACE dresses the black leather uppers in daisy embroidery and fixes his signature eyes and mouth motifs on the lace deubrae and and heel tabs. Classic white side-stripes run across the laterals along with “FACE STUDIO” print in gold and the tongue tab quotes the caption board used for the artist’s exhibitions. Yellow insoles feature additional daisy motifs and rounding out the look are dark grey gum sole units. Accompanying merch including stickers, hoodies, sweaters, and a relaxed blue corduroy tracksuit will also be available.
The FACE x atmos x adidas Originals SAMBA will be available from November 19 via atmos and select stores for ¥13,200 JPY (approximately $94 USD).
