Malbon Golf Prepares a Collaboration with WIND AND SEA
A head-to-toe collection that pulls from both brand’s aesthetics.
The ever busy lifestyle brand Malbon Golf is colliding with Tokyo imprint WIND AND SEA for a second time to produce a collection of sweaters, jackets, hats and pants that pull from both brand’s aesthetics. For WIND AND SEA, which is spearheaded by photographer and creative director Takashi Kumagai, the collection follows up on their late September golf collaboration with luggage makers BRIEFING.
Early imagery from the collection reveals several standout items. First off, the Malbon Golf x WDS Varsity Jacket arrives in green or burgundy and presents a familiar set of features like a wool torso, contrast leather sleeves, two slip front pockets, a full-length front buttoned closure and elasticated cuffs and waist. The branding and embroidery is where the piece comes alive, with a large collegiate S and Malbon buckets logo hitting the left and right chest. The reverse side of the piece has the words “Wind and Malbon” embroidered in the golf brand’s script font, while other assorted logos find their way onto the leather sleeves.
Next up, the Malbon Golf x WDS Chino Pants come in black, burgundy, sea brown and beige and present a wide leg cut with soft pleats. Each leg gets an embroidered logo along with traditional details like belt loops and buttoned back pockets.
Lastly, a Malbon Golf x New Era x WDS Cap completes the head-to-toe look, along with other golf and lifestyle accessories like gloves, towels, neck warmers and tote bags. The full collection is set to arrive in early December on Malbon Golf’s official website.
