Disney and adidas are tugging at nostalgic heartstrings with the release of a special capsule collection to celebrate the 30th anniversary of childhood favorite hockey classic, The Mighty Ducks. With adidas as the official NHL, Disney has teamed up with the sportswear brand to release the original jerseys from the 1992 film.

While the jerseys will not be worn by the Anaheim Ducks or Chicago Blackhawks, fans will be able to purchase the commemorative items for a limited time. In addition to the classic jerseys, adidas is also releasing a selection of adidas ULTRABOOST sneakers inspired by the Ducks and Hawks color schemes. The adidas ULTRABOOST 1.0 DNA receive three new colorways, two of which correspond to the Ducks’ colors of green, gold, and deep purple, and one that sees the shoe dressed in black, white and detailed in blue for the Hawks.

The 1992 film had two additional sequels, one in 1994 and one in 1996. It was such a hit that there was also an animated spin-off series titled, Mighty Ducks: The Animated Show. adidas calls the collaboration with Disney, “30 years in the making.” The jerseys are also live for a limited time on NHL 23. There is currently no official date as to when adidas will release these jerseys for purchase.

In case you missed it, college coaches and scouts say Bronny James is not quite ready for the NBA just yet.
