adidas Brings 'The Mighty Ducks' to the UltraBOOST 1.0 DNA
Celebrating 30 years of the classic Disney film.
2022 has marked the anniversary of countless brands, franchises and sneakers. Adding to the many celebrations, Disney and adidas have teamed up once again, this time honoring the 30th anniversary of the original The Mighty Ducks film. Utilizing the iconic adidas UltraBOOST 1.0 DNA, three colorways have been prepared, two referencing the Mighty Ducks team and one for their rivals, the Hawks.
All three feature key UltraBOOST technology, including a sock-like Primeknit upper, full-length BOOST midsole, Continental rubber outsole and some recycled materials in its construction. The first colorway lands in a green, yellow and purple color palette that references the Mighty Ducks’ classic jersey with a D-5 mark at the lateral nodding to District 5. A maroon, teal and white colorway pays tribute to another Mighty Ducks color scheme while a black, white and blue colorway represents the Hawks, the Ducks’ rival team.
While the The Mighty Ducks x adidas UltraBOOST 1.0 DNA collection has popped up internationally, a proper release date has not yet been shared. Look for it to land on shelves soon via adidas and select retailers at a price of $200 USD.
