Described as a “multidisciplinary provocateur,” Supreme Creative Director Tremaine Emory has come together with Sky High Farm Workwear for the latest collaboration of his Denim Tears imprint. The Fall/Winter 2022 capsule collection serves to bring the two names together under Denim Tears’ mission statement of celebrating the African Diaspora, this time through a cornucopia of what Emory dubs “Black Foods.”

The special range highlights the interplay between Emory’s evolving design craft and exhaustive knowledge of African culture. Drawing inspiration from the foods Emory grew up eating in Queens, New York. The Denim Tears for Sky High Farm Workwear is emblazoned with imagery of okra, collard greens, black-eyed peas, and watermelon seed packets to place fashion in a place of storytelling and change.

The refined, intentional design centered in African American framework resulted in a sharply-tailored green wool suit with peak lapels, signature Sky High Farm carpenter pants, a waxed duster canvas coat, a cashmere sweater, and a vintage-washed hoodie. Other items include a thermal, T-shirt, and a vintage leather jacket hand-painted by Fernando Ruiz that come together cohesively for the “small community, massive diaspora, infinite detail” message.

Priced between $118 and $1,098 USD, the Denim Tears for Sky High Farm Workwear will be available October 21, 11 a.m. EDT on Denim Tears and Sky High Farm’s websites, along with a release at Dover Street Market (Los Angeles and New York) and at select retailers. Additionally, you can shop more Denim Tears via Grailed.
