Bodega Unveils Its New Balance 9060 "Age of Discovery" Collaboration
“Honoring the old, ushering in the new.”
Following its collaboration with Clarks Originals for a winter-ready Wallabee in “Heritage Patchwork,” Boston-based select shop Bodega now reconnects with New Balance for a special take on its new 9060 runners. The upcoming colorway is dubbed the “Age of Discovery” and is said to “blend yesterday’s artifacts and tomorrow’s vision into a sneaker of today, chalk full of revelations.”
Dreaming of a modern renaissance, the upcoming pairs feature a mix of natural tones including mushroom and grey across its shaggy suede contours and varying shades of blue stretching across the mesh base and suede overlays. Additional hits of grape decorate the eyelets and N-logo branding while fluorescent yellow hits appear on the triangular tongue tab window. ABZORB and SBS-equipped sole units below go for a subtle cream and greyscale look while the pair’s defining metallic CR device is secured in dark navy on the heel. Rounding out the offering are diamond-shaped grips on the bottoms, co-branded insoles, and three lace options. Housing the pairs is a custom blue shoebox featuring Renaissance-style artwork of a New Balance artifact and mythological figures.
Take a closer look at the Bodega x New Balance 9060 “Age of Discovery” above and expect the pairs to release on December 10 via Bodega’s online store and physical locations.
