With the 2022-23 NBA Season’s start in sight, various stars throughout the league have been launching their signature sneaker for the year ahead. Joining the ranks of his star peers, LaMelo Ball has his own shoe hitting shelves. Continuing his partnership with PUMA Hoops, the duo is running with the success of the MB.01 and has evolved it into the MB.02.

When prompted to share his thoughts on the new style, Ball shared “When creating the MB.02, we took the designs to the next level to reflect my personal style with the flames, RARE and 1 of 1 graphics and bold colors.” These details can be spotted with the sneaker’s unique linework throughout the upper, his signature wings returning at the sole and co-branding on the heel and tongue. For the sneaker’s launch, a bold orange colorway features hits of red and blue to create a look that one can instantly spot on the court. Technical specifications of the MB.02 include the return of the NITRO foam-infused midsole, non-slip rubber outsole designed for quick cuts and an engineered woven mesh upper that provides breathability and minimizes weight.

The debut of LaMelo Ball and Puma Hoops’ MB.02 is scheduled to take place October 21. It will be available via PUMA and select retailers at a price of $130 USD.

In other footwear news, Plessume is launching its own second sneaker, the Slam High 002, inspired by the Rick Owens Dunk.
