Nike SB Dunk Low Inspired by Bart Simpson Emerges
The upper’s color-blocking perfectly translates the comical character’s outfit.

Nike and its Nike SB division will often pull from the world of animation for its playful footwear designs, and one offering that is expected to be rolled out from the skateboarding label is this Nike SB Dunk Low “Bart” colorway that’s ostensibly inspired by Bart Simpson. References to this iconic animation show isn’t anything new to the Swoosh family as we’ve seen the imprint drop a colorway dedicated to Homer in 2003 and a makeup devoted to Marge in 2007.
The vivid color-blocking on this “Bart” rendition points to the comical and mischievous character’s never-changing outfit. Mesh tongues, along with the leather toe boxes, quarters and collars are doused in a bold yellow hue to match his skin tone while the bold “Habanero Red” overlays are symbolic of his t-shirt. Bold “Hero Blue” accents are dropped off onto the interior lining and the treading to successfully portray his shorts and shoes, and the insoles are dyed in green as a nod to his skateboard. Notes of white complete the shoes design by touching the Swooshes, branding on the tongues and heels and the midsoles.
Nike SB has yet to confirm the official launch date for these, but you can likely expect them to release in the coming months for $100 USD.
In other footwear news, Nike is celebrating Japan’s Setsubun festival with a special Dunk Low colorway.
