During the first ever HYPEGOLF Japan Invitational event, held on Monday, December 6 at Tokyo’s Eagle Point Golf Club, German automaker Porsche took the opportunity to showcase its latest electric performance vehicle, the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo.

The 4 Cross Turismo is Porsche’s fast-functional iteration of the all-electric Taycan performance car with an extended cabin. With the Cross Turismo body shell, rear storage room expands to 446 liters of storage space, maximized to 1212 liters with the rear seats folded down. Beyond its functionality of storage, the Taycan features a 215 mile range, while maintaining performance feats like a 0-62 mph sprint time of 5.1 seconds through its stabilized four-wheel drive system and comfortable-and-sporty adjustable air suspension.

For its attendance at the HYPEGOLF Japan Invitational, Porsche displayed the performance car in front of Eagle Point Golf Club’s 10th hole, alongside the club’s cafe catering to golfers and guests. Players were able to take a short break and experience the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo up close, specifically the room its cabin offered for golf clubs and bags – a design notoriously difficult for most sedans to fit. Additionally, Porsche also sponsored the 8th hole, with Japan’s long drive contest winning professional Tatsuhiro Toyoda at the helm. Toyoda was able to demonstrate his record-breaking 479-yard long drive to players, while offering advice and suggestions on how to improve their game.

The first HYPEGOLF Japan Invitational attracted more than 120 guests to attend and play at the prestigious golf course, and featured not only golf professionals but influencers and talents across multiple categories, like artists, actors, fashion designers and more. Live DJ booths, world-class food, custom merch for sale and other activations helped to create a world-class atmosphere alongside Porsche’s display of its racing DNA, cutting edge technology, and performance-meets-function capabilities in the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo.

Check out the Porsche activation’s recap photos above and learn more about the entire Taycan range of vehicles.
