Official Images of the Nike LeBron 9 "Big Bang"
The King’s All-Star colorway from 2012 is making a return.

2012 was arguably one of the best years in the history of Nike and its basketball division as it rolled out a stunning crop of colorways from its various signature NBA athletes. One of the pieces from this Swoosh archive is LeBron James‘ Nike LeBron 9 “Big Bang” colorway that was launched as part of the Swoosh’s 2012 All-Star collection — an assemblage most famously known for having the Kobe 7, KD 4 and the grail-worthy Nike Air Foamposite One NRG “Galaxy” iteration.
Fast forward 10 years later, the Nike Basketball team is giving The King’s vivid colorway new life with all of its space-themed design elements. Various shadings of orange decorate the upper’s woven side panels, synthetic materials and piping while silver accents arrive on the Swooshes, heel tabs and lace stays. To express its interstellar theme, a galaxy-esque print lines the interior and the outsoles are enhanced with glow-in-the-dark capabilities. Moreover, the kicks come accessorized with meteor-like graphics on the tongues, speckled midsoles and icy treading.
Nike has intentions of dropping the LeBron 9 “Big Bang” sometime in 2022, so peep a closer look at its official images above while you wait on their arrival.
