The collaborative effort not only marks the first project between Serving the People and Woolrich, but also the exclusive launch of RAT HAT’s newest collection. Led by model Alice Sofia Navarain, RAT HAT specializes in colorful, slightly off-kilter crochet hats. “It’s not a perfect thing,” said Navarain. “It’s a confused happiness, and I think that’s why people liked it.”
Navarain’s hats are made from unused yarn and thread from old sweaters and her inspiration changes by her mood. For the new collection, Navarain refurbished Woolrich fabrics and introduced neon threads to offer a revitalized look.
Featuring seven hand-woven hats, the collection debuts an ongoing collaboration between Serving the People and Woolrich. With starting bids at $200 USD, each hat will be available via auction on Serving the People’s website beginning Thursday, September 30.
