Allen Iverson‘s Answer IV and Shawn Kemp‘s Kamikaze II are two of the most iconic silhouettes in Reebok‘s retro hoops archive, and the brand has brought both of them together for a new “Semi-Solar Gold” two-pack. Both shoes boast a striking design language, so the “Semi-Solar Gold” offerings highlight their key pieces with rich, colorful accents.

Iverson’s Answer IV uses a black leather base and collar shroud with a reddish-orange tone dubbed “Baked Earth” on its toebox, midfoot overlays and heel detailing. “Semi-Solar Gold” is then placed on the lateral forefoot’s I3 detailing, the midsole’s DMX cushioning embellishment and the midfoot support shank. A red portrait of AI’s head on the outsole rounds off the look.

Kemp’s Kamikaze II offers an interesting material composition of its own, mixing black nubuck panels with black suede toeboxes and heels. Its signature zig-zagging overlays offer up an ombre-style fade that starts with “Semi-Solar Gold” leather towards the heel before giving way to a hot “Flash Red” suede on the forefoot. This detailing is replicated on the midsole, which is stuffed with DMX cushioning for comfort.

The Reebok Answer IV and Kamikaze II “Semi-Solar Gold” are both available via the Reebok Japan webstore now. The former is priced at $140 USD, the latter at $120 USD.
