Official Images of the Air Jordan 14 Low "Red Lipstick"
A vivid two-tone style with a playful print hidden on one of its insoles.
Beauty products are a recurring theme in Jordan Brand‘s fall 2021 women’s retro releases. The Air Jordan 4 “Shimmer” was inspired by natural makeup palettes, and the soon-to-release Air Jordan 14 Low “Red Lipstick” draws from — you guessed it — red lipstick. First revealed back in June and seen in greater detail at the end of August, the “Red Lipstick” is a luscious and vivacious take on the Air Jordan 14 Low.
The vast majority of the “Lipstick” upper is made of simple black suede, with the rich red shade that gives the shoe its nickname appearing on the tongue, throat and collar. However, the most overt nod to lipstick can be found on the left shoe’s insole, which features a repeating red lip print behind a Jumpman logo. The right shoe’s insole swaps the print for Michael Jordan‘s signature, and branding is served up by a jeweled badge on the lateral midfoot, a rubberized hit on the heel and a small Jordan spellout on the top of the tongue. Down below, toothed black midsoles are speckled with white flecks and cut by a metallic silver midfoot shank to complete the look.
Expect the Air Jordan 14 Low “Red Lipstick” to release on September 16, pending official confirmation from Jordan Brand. The MSRP will likely be set at $170 USD.
