Breitling Top Time Chronograph Trio Takes Inspiration From 1960s Muscle Cars
Colorful capsule honors the Stingray, Mustang and Cobra.
Breitling has dropped a colorful trio of 1960s muscle car-inspired chronographs.
Taking their cues from the Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang and Shelby Cobra, the chronos feature red, green and blue dials with recessed, rounded square sub dials in contrasting black. Each of the marque’s logos are printed on the dials and engraved on the stainless steel caseback.
The 42mm Chevrolet Corvette and Ford Mustang watches feature a three-register dial layout with small seconds, six-hour and 15-minute counters, courtesy of Breitling’s COSC-certified, ETA 2892-based, Caliber 25 movement.
Breitling has been getting good mileage out of modern takes on the vintage Top Time design this year, having already dropped a limited edition in collaboration with Australian lifestyle brand, Deus Ex Machina.
The Shelby Cobra watch opts for a smaller 40mm case, COSC-certified Breitling Caliber 41 movement and twin sub dial arrangement with small seconds and 30-minute counter.
The trio are available now via Breitling, supplied on perforated calfskin strap, priced $5,500 USD.
