Chaos Fishing Club Unveils Its Converse QAK CP Collaboration
The Japan-based imprint also created a comical fishing-related short film to coincide with the release.
From engineering distorted Weapons with Rick Owens to making a duo of Skidgrips with John Elliott, Converse has been on a hot streak when it comes to its sneaker collaborations. And it seems as though there’s no indication that it will be slowing down on this front anytime soon as it has now tapped Chaos Fishing Club for a fresh take atop the Converse QAK CP. This newest team-up falls under the umbrella of the One Star brand’s Converse Camping Supply collection.
The presentation of this makeup is ostensibly inspired by that of a fisherman’s outfit. Darker neutrals are found by way of the muted brown canvas material that makes up most of the upper as well as the solid black toe tip overlays, the latter of which are graced with Chaos Fishing Club branding. Brighter accents then take over on this iteration; the mid-foot overlay — which has abstract holes punched out — appearing in baby blue while the the interior liners and first metal eye stays are dripped in a lavender hue. A muted teal tone dresses up the midsoles and heel overlays, while the treading is filled in with black. Additionally, the insoles are ornamented with a Japanese spell out that translates to “I’m gonna do it at last?” in English.
