Following up on its 2020 debut, Converse Japan‘s trek-ready Camping Supply footwear collection is back for Spring/Summer 2021. Comprising a trio of all-terrain kicks, the new collection is extremely versatile in both construction and design.
With hike-ready styling all the range in Japan and abroad, it makes sense for the Camping Supply lineup to return. The new models are less diverse than the debut selection but no less useful, serving up a bevy of rugged technical specs while referencing and updating archival Converse silhouettes.
Two colorways of the QAK SP are on hand, accompanied by a glossy take on the RSS CP FR. The former model — realized in olive and navy — is inspired by the retro Quake model, while the latter — executed in silver and black — takes cues from the Resistor, another ’90s makeup. Both styles feature unique closure — a gore lace/cord lock system and cobra buckle, respectively — alongside waterproof uppers, wear-fighting suede toeboxes, removable cushioned insoles, grippy outsoles and adjusted ankle openings for easy on-off.
The SS21 Camping Supply Collection launches this month via Converse Japan’s web store and domestic outposts.
Most recently, the Japanese arm of Converse announced a a collaborative Converse Addict with MADNESS.
