Nike Air Presto "Siren Red" Features a Sunrise-to-Sunset Gradient
The “T-Shirt for Your Feet” takes on a striking blend of tones.
Marketed as the “T-shirt for your feet” when it first released in 2000, Nike‘s Air Presto was revolutionary in its sock-like build and T-shirt inspired sizing system alike. In the years since, it’s become an accessable lifestyle favorite for Nike Sportswear, one that’s now releasing in a bold “University Gold/Hyper Crimson-Siren Red” colorway centered around a sunrise-to-sunset style gradient.
Stretchy mesh uppers start with a bright sunrise yellow on the toe cap and toebox, switch to orange at the bottom of the throat and move to pink on the midfoot. The gradient’s tones begin growing darker towards the collar: fuchsia arrives first, then just a dash of purple before things are finalized by a blue heel.
Midfoot cages and heel clips alike are done up in an icy blue, providing some cool contrast with the base layer’s toasty tones. Orange Swooshes are placed on both sides of the white EVA foam midsole, and a final Swoosh is embroidered on the toebox. Further branding is served by a debossed “Presto” hit on the medial midfoot cage, an orange “AIR” graphic hidden under the heel and small ice blue badges on the tongue.
On the midsole’s lateral heel, five colored dots nod to the five shades used on the upper. Insoles indicate what “size” each shoe is and also supply a “20” graphic, a potential indication that the “Siren Red” was originally supposed to release in 2020 to celebrate the Air Presto’s 20th anniversary. Bright blue outsoles round off the look.
The Nike Air Presto “Siren Red” will release on Nike SNKRS come March 13. The MSRP is set at $130 USD.
