Oi Polloi and Sebago Release a Duo of Outdoor-Inflected Moccasins
Arriving in “Dark Brown” or “Beige Taffy”.
Following on from Oi Polloi and Sebago’s 2019 link-up that saw the pair rework the epochal Portland Decker, the duo reunite for Fall/Winter 2021 to unveil its all-new Askook silhouette.
Born out of Oi Polloi boss man Steve Sanderson’s desire to experiment with a classic laid-back Sebago shape, the Askook boasts the traditional features we’ve come to expect from the American footwear company, but is bolstered with outdoor-friendly tweaks.
Crafted from a mix of suede and buttery leather, each upper sits atop a chunky, hard-wearing Vibram sole which means added durability, while its webbed laces — a feature inspired by classic Rockport boots — makes for a more tailored and adjustable fit.
Arriving in either “Dark Brown” or “Beige Taffy”, each shoe is completed with subtle co-branding on the footbed and Sebago’s archetypal tag towards the heel.
The Oi Polloi x Sebago Askook is available to buy now from the Oi Polloi webstore, retailing at £200 (approximately $280 USD).
