Nintendo and LEGO Release 'Super Mario 64' Question Mark Block
Featuring four hidden levels and interactive play.
LEGO introduces a 2,064-piece question mark block from Super Mario 64 with pop-up maps hidden inside.
At first glance, the sleek yellow Mario block seems to be just that, but an innovative push-in top contraption reveals four Super Mario 64 levels hidden within including Peach’s Castle, Bob-omb Battlefield, Cool Cool Mountain and Lethal Laval Trouble. To hide the worlds once again, one simply needs to fold the two periphery worlds in and push the mini-block forward to reset the piece in one smooth motion.
The LEGO block features 10 micro figures including Mario, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Chain Chomp, Lakitu, and more. For interactive play, full-sized LEGO Mario and Luigi figures from the 71360/71387 starter courses can be added for “unique music and sounds from the video game, plus hidden Power Stars that reveal secret reactions from the figures,” according to LEGO.
The question block is priced at $170 USD and will be available on October 1 exclusively on LEGO’s website and at physical stores.
