Following on from the home kit — complete with hits of orange — and city-inspired away jersey, Liverpool and Nike have now formally unveiled the third kit for the 2021/22 season. The design celebrates the Kop, the club’s most famous stand and the home to its most vocal supporters.

The community on the Kop has been the driving force behind Liverpool, creating banners, flags, fanzines and chants that the club has become known for. This influence is the inspiration for the third kit, which celebrates the fan culture through its yellow and red design.

The jersey features a bright yellow base, referencing previous away shirts from Liverpool’s history. This is contrasted with a red-and-yellow chequered trim on the collar as a nod to the flags of the Kop, and subtle pinstripes.

Liverpool’s 2021/22 third kit is available now for Nike members via the Nike web store, before it receives a full release on September 14.
