Les Benjamins Presents Dynamic, Rally-Inspired Fall/Winter 2021 Collection
‘Forgotten Pacenotes’ provides new streetwear formulas.
Istanbul-based streetwear label, Les Benjamins puts forward its latest collection titled ‘Forgotten Pacenotes’, playing with the iconic looks of Turkey’s roaring rally culture.
This season creative director Bünyamin Aydin looks to the likes of rally drivers Renç Koçibey, Serdar Bostanci and Michèle Mouton in a racetrack inspired Fall/Winter 2021 collection. The offering is split into two segments, ‘rally-style’ and ‘crash & repair’, with ranges taking notes from classic motorsport uniforms. Driving the collection to the present day, athleisure styles are blended with the classic racewear silhouettes, for street-ready looks that coincide with the brand’s spiritual and functional design pillars.
Punctuated throughout the collection, garments take on heavy graphics and electric color patterns, imitating the logo-filled bodywork of rally cars. Menswear pieces include an oil spilled fleece and printed denim pants while soft, vegetal-type leather dresses, a shimmery waistcoat and a fur-edged two-piece feature in the women’s line. Other seasonal appropriate items, such as knit crewnecks and layer-able blazers can be found across both menswear and womenswear collections.
