Wrist Check: Lionel Messi Wears Rolex Yacht-Master in Paris
As the footballer greets Paris Saint Germain fans.

Footballing legend Lionel Messi greeted Paris Saint Germain fans for the first time wearing Rolex’s sporty Yacht-Master.
The terms of Messi’s new two-year contract might not have been disclosed but, for someone widely considered the best player of all time scoring 672 goals in 778 appearances for Barcelona, the $26,000 USD 18ct gold sports watch is likely to be well within his budget.
Rolex’s latest iteration of the gold sports watch, the Ref. 126655, is housed in a 40mm case of the brand’s own proprietary Everose 18kt gold alloy with a matte and polished Cerachrom bezel ring. Compared to the previous model, the 116655, the new watch features the new 3235 automatic movement with improved 72-hour power reserve and an Oysterflex rubber strap with adjustable Glidelock clasp.
Like most Rolex models, the Yacht-Master is a safe bet in terms of investment. UK-based preowned retailer, Watchfinder & Co, has two 2017 examples of the 116655 reference listed around the watch’s £21,900 GBP retail price.
