For its next collaborative dealing, Stüssy has teamed up with Artisan Project — a women’s weaving cooperative that’s based in Ain Leuh, Morocco — to manufacture 30 upcycled boucherouite t-shirt rugs. This collaboration arrives hot off the heels of its second chapter with Birkenstock that involved three colorways of the Boston Clog.

The rugs are made from archival tees from Stüssy‘s warehouse in Irvine, CA that didn’t quite make it through the quality check. Each piece carries its own unique color palette and pattern. As you sift through the gallery above, you’ll find some are made in sizes of all different sorts and come styled with colorful checkerboard patterns, intricately woven stripes, diamond silhouettes, chevron stripes, paint splatter-esque motifs, abstract shapes, all-over rectangle blocks, and more. During the design process, both parties referenced the various landscapes of California, surfboards, painter strokes and styles and vintage Moroccan carpets.

Stüssy has also confirmed that more initiatives with Artisan Project will happen in the future, but details have yet to be revealed.

This drop will be limited to 30 unique t-shirt rugs and will be dropping exclusively on the Stüssy web store and through regional sites on September 3rd. Retail prices have not been announced just yet.

Elsewhere in the world of design, Helinox and Filson reconnected for a Fall-ready Camping collection.
