Stone Island Shadow Project's First FW21 Release Explores Form and Function
The label continues its focus on innovative materials and details.

Stone Island has returned with the latest installment of its ongoing Shadow Project, launching the first chapter of its Fall/Winter 2021 collection. This release continues Stone Island’s mission to evolve contemporary menswear, with materials and silhouettes the focal points of the collection.
Throughout Shadow Project collections, Stone Island takes inspiration from real-world scenarios, designing items based on wearers’ behavioural patterns. A particular focus in the first chapter of this collection is the stripping back of functional detailing. In its place, Stone Island focuses on textile and shape, while also incorporating internal storage solutions and generous tailored fits for the wearer’s comfort.
The collection itself is split into two separate chapters, allowing the collection to transition from hot to cold climates. Additionally, each chapter is an exploration of color and shade, particularly through the various head-to-toe looks. In the first chapter, colors range from neutral off-white tones to warm reds and oranges, with only rare hits of patterns appearing throughout.

In case you missed it, Stone Island also recently teased an upcoming project with New Balance Tokyo Design Studio.
