Rains Reworks the MA-1 and Fishtail Parka for FW21 Thermal Capsule
Crafted from the brand’s signature Drifter fabric.
Scandinavian outerwear label Rains has followed up the recent unveiling of its collaborative footwear release with Diemme by launching the latest instalment of its winter-ready thermal collection.
Through softened lines and extra padding in plackets, pockets flaps and hems, Rains’ crisp and durable Drifter fabric emphasizes that volume and adds drama through its play of light and subtle wrinkled effect.
Reimagining two unisex outerwear archetypes in a duo of monochromatic shades, the Avalanche Bomber style draws inspiration from the classic MA-1 silhouette, while the Avalanche Parka arrives mid-thigh length and takes notes from the archetypal fishtail parka from the early 1950s.
Both lightweight yet warm, each piece boasts ultimate all-over water-resistant membrane and is finished with a subtle and detachable Rains-branded velcro patch.
The Avalanche Bomber and Avalanche Parka are set to drop in September 2021 and will be available from the Rains webstore.
