New York Yankees x Supreme Fall 2021 Collaboration
Kicking off the team-up with the iconic MLB team.
Following the release of its inaugural Fall 2021 release, Supreme is readying to introduce its first collaboration of the season with the New York Yankees. Coming together, the special range builds upon mutual location roots and celebrates the iconography of the beloved Major League Baseball team.
The collaboration was created in partnership with the MLB and is centered around the New York Yankees logo known the world over. The interlocking “NY” logo was inspired by a medal of honor created by Louis Tiffany of Tiffany & Co. in 1877 and presented to John McDowell, a New York City police officer shot in the line of duty. First used in 1909, the logo appeared on the sleeve and cap of the uniform.
The collection is comprised of a GORE-TEX 700-Fill Down Jacket, Track Jacket, Denim Trucker Jacket, Shortsleeve Top, Hooded Sweatshirt, Track Pant, Jean, Sweatpant, New Era® Fitted Hat, New Era® Beanie and Skateboard. Items reference both sports styling and street essentials all accented by the interlocking “NY” logo expressed through embroidery, appliques and printed graphics.
The New York Yankees x Supreme Fall 2021 will see a global release, available via the streetwear imprint’s website on September 2, 11 a.m. EDT in the United States and September 4, 11 a.m. JST in Japan.
