Ben Baller Hits Las Vegas To Unveil his All-New Captain Morgan Iced-Out Jewelry

If there is someone who’s known for doing it big, in style, with an over-the-top, inclination towards lavish luxuries — it’s Ben Baller. It literally is his job though, the famed celebrity jeweler and diamond mastermind, has been the architect behind some of rap’s craziest iced-out jewels. The list could go on for days but notables include making Kid Cudi a Takashi Murakami chain 18k gold pendant last year, gifting Ferg the iconic Yamborghini chain in honor of A$AP Yams on Yams Day 2017,  crafting the memorable Stone Island piece for none other than Drake himself and even making multi-colored jewels for Tyler, the Creator, coinciding with his last few albums. Now, Baller has taken to spicier pastures, teaming up with Captain Morgan in Vegas earlier this month to unveil the first chain in the exclusive Ben Baller x Captain Morgan “Captain on Ice” partnership.

Hopping on a private jet to head to Las Vegas, Baller showed off the first of four custom, popping chains, which are inspired by the spiced rum and his own personal flavor. Once in Vegas, guests were fitted with big faux fur coats and knit gloves to arrive to the main hall of the party that very well could have been frozen by the ice around Baller’s neck, but also could be attributed to the massive ice sculpture of a polar bear surrounded by ice-covered bottles of Captain Morgan’s rum and frozen-over images of the jeweler and his family. They gathered round all the ice-shaved bar, sculptures and even glassware as Baller kicked off the party with a toast of his own signature cocktail, the OG Spice and Ice, which features Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, fresh pineapple and lemon juice, simple syrup and seltzer water.

The first of Baller’s four iced-out chains was available for one lucky fan to win ahead of the 2021 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target. The winner will receive two tickets for themselves and a guest to the game at Los Angeles’ Banc of California Stadium tonight, as well as the chance to meet Baller and receive their custom chain from the man himself. “I’ve made pieces for some of the biggest celebrities, but it’s always dope to do something special for the fans,” said Ben Baller. “For years, I’ve been a Captain Morgan fan, so when they came to me with the idea for this collab, it was a no-brainer.”

To help capture the feel of the icy experience, Baller took HYPEBEAST from his Captain Morgan-themed private jet all the way to Las Vegas.
