BILLY's Tokyo Salutes Japanese Street Style with Exclusive New Balance 574
The BILLY’s-only style is spotlighted in a lookbook starring the Tokyo-based Blue Room crew.
BILLY’s Tokyo has partnered with New Balance to release an exclusive take on the 574, one that’s inspired by the evolution of Japanese street style. Spotlighted in a lookbook starring blue room — a Tokyo-based crew of archival streetwear merchants — the design is equal parts rugged and sporty, nodding to Tokyo street style’s diverse array of inspirations.
Uppers are made mostly of a workboot-like tan suede that covers the mudguard, midfoot and heel. This is offset by dark navy blue mesh on the midfoot, tongue and collar. Branding is supplied by white midfoot N logos rimmed with navy trim, tan leather heel tabs with a white New Balance spellout logo, tan tongue tags with white and navy hits of their own and a small white NB hit on the plastic heel clip. Tan laces tie the top half off, and down below the look is finalized by white/tan ENCAP midsoles that sit atop black rubber outsoles.
The BILLY’s Tokyo-exclusive New Balance 574 is set to release on the BILLY’s webstore come August 12. Its MSRP is set at ¥14,300 JPY (approximately $130 USD), inclusive of tax.
