Converse Japan Releases Work Pant-Inspired Chuck Taylor All Star Collection
Crafted from durable twill and featuring reinforced heel stitching.
Converse Japan may be headquartered far away from America, but that hasn’t stopped it from pumping out a veritable Rodolex of Americana-inspired footwear releases, the latest of which is a collection of Chuck Taylor All Stars inspired by work pants. Arriving in both high and low-top versions, the collection’s offerings are made of twill and feature reinforced stitching to ensure they properly represent the hard-wearing chinos they’re inspired by.
“Hunter Green,” “Mustard” and “Black” colorways are available in both high and low-top style, and, as mentioned above, each boasts an upper constructed entirely of durable twill fabric. Besides the workwear-inspired material choice, each Chuck also features alternate stitching on its heel with a wider pitch than usual to nod to the reinforced seats of work pants. Standard All Star badges, metal eyestays and white laces are left unchanged, as are the classic rubber toe cap and foxing stripe-equipped midsole. Brown rubber outsoles round off the look.
The Converse Japan Chuck Taylor All Star work pant collection is available in full family sizes now via Converse Japan. Adult pairs are priced at ¥7,150 JPY (approximately $65 USD), kids pairs at ¥5,170 JPY (approximately $47 USD) and infant pairs at ¥4950 (approximately $45 USD). All prices are inclusive of tax.
